Announcement of the 88th Edition of Know India Programme (KIP)

The Know India Programme (KIP) is a flagship engagement initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, designed for the youth of Indian origin (aged 21–35 years). The programme aims to reconnect young members of the Indian diaspora with their ancestral roots while offering a comprehensive exposure to India’s rich cultural heritage and its dynamic transformation in areas such as the economy, innovation, start-ups, science & technology, art, and governance.

Since its launch in 2003-04, KIP has successfully hosted thousands of young diaspora participants from across the world benefiting from this immersive experience in India.

The 88th edition of the Know India Programme will be held from 08 March to 27 March 2026 in India.

Eligibility

  • Age: 21–35 years
  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / OCI Card holder
  • Open to diaspora youth (Non-Resident Indians are not eligible)

Documents Required

  • Duly filled Application Form
  • Copy of Passport valid for at least 6 months and with at least 2 blank pages
  • Copy of PIO/OCI Card (if available)
  • Educational Qualification Certificate (Minimum required: Graduation from a recognized university)
  • Passport-size coloured photograph
